As third generation of Brumley Music I am honored to be able to complete one of grandpa’s last dreams: To have an organization to get children involved in music. Thus the I’ll Fly Away Foundation was born. Our mission is to improve children’s lives through music.
The I’ll Fly Away Foundation is the continuing legacy of Albert E Brumley and his music. This is our way to give back to not only our local community, but also the world community that has made I’ll Fly Away part of the fabric of our lives.
When I started the I’ll Fly Away Foundation 3 ½ years ago, I had no way of knowing the profound impact it would have on so many lives. In 3 ½ short years we have awarded $8,500 in college scholarships, empowered over 600 3rd and 5th grade children through our You Can Fly Songwriting Programs, given special musical presentations to 350 high school music students, given away 10 Epiphone guitars to needy students and troubled teens for music therapy and worked with other non profits such as Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art on special songwriting workshops for their members.
And we are just getting started. The I’ll Fly Away Foundation has been invited to 2 new school districts in 2 states plus our local school district to bring our You Can Fly Songwriting Program to over 2400 kids this next school year. That’s a 400% growth in one year.
I would like to personally thank everyone who has supported the I’ll Fly Away Foundation. With out people like you, we could not be making this positive impact on children.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to visit the I’ll Fly Away Foundation website to learn more about how we improve children’s lives and how you can help us make a difference. www.illflyawayfoundation.org
Thank you,
